Space heat and dhw profiles for Helas in 2002.
The performance dynamics of the solar heating systems
vary quite much over the year as demonstrated by Figures
9 and 10.
Figure 9 shows the measured hourly storage
temperatures in July 2002. The differences are quite large
and explained mainly by the dhw needs during the
measurement period but also by the system sizing (load
vs. collector area vs. storage size). Adding the efficiency
of heat withdrawal from storage to load and collector
inclination, we get in Figure 10 the monthly solar output.
The inclination has as expected the largest influence
during the winter months in the summer months the
storage temperature has the highest effect on the solar
yield in Ekoviikki.
