AQUAPONICS" (dates back to the Egyptians).....a system of growing food and fish together using grow beds and fish tanks

Is Truth like beauty only seen in the eyes of the beholder??? who knows? One thing for sure this forum on the topic of SSC is bit lonely elfro, were is Sheedy, gone walk about, maybe?, Benoit has joined the circle. Maybe we could increase the posts on this forum and get some more people onboard. I see a lot of great knowledge out there that needs to be considerd by us all. Maybe we can get a data base of Book/DVD titles,authors, and personal reviews added by those who have read or seen a book/DVD etc?. We could post on this (SSC) forum and hopefully attract some more imput.
We could keep the information to science based knowledge to keep the focus streamlined.
And I would suggest we keep this forum updated and live, by regular content and discussions.
PM's are good for info' non-public. We could also inform other ZM forums of a data base on,
for example a title could be "Home Improvements"

A Resource Based Economy could well be started by using what is currently regarded as a waste, this is no secret, it is already in motion to pardon the pun. These areas are evoloving as we breathe. coff coff. We need to educate ourselves and others on the best options for these resources. Before the corporations monopolise on the growing demand.

Until the basic needs of comfortable sheltre and healthy food is available to all we cannot profess to be living in a civilised society.

To start the ball rolling take a look at;

AQUAPONICS"
(dates back to the Egyptians).....a system of growing food and fish together using grow beds and fish tanks, a system that only needs an area of 32 sq mtrs to produce enough food for a small family uses only 10% of the water needed to grow the same amount in normal garden beds with no chemicals, totally organic. very simple self watering through flood and drain system as in hydroponics without the chemicals.
Most of the components can be sourced from second hand outlets and recycle centres for low $$ or for free.
The system needs a pump and can be run from solar/elect panel or even manualy by bucket, for lower cost.
Water quality needs to be checked to ensure good yields.
And learn about effiecent/healthy and economic water use. great way to teach children about looking after water ways and growing their own food.

I have loads of info just like this to share, this info needs to be out there. Take the time to look we can release our dependancy on our poor overworked politicians, if we can take care of ourselves the need for polies will dry up. Basicaly put we can do this by passing the knowledge around, and learning something new and if we share this ethos with our children we will be planting the seeds of a much needed change.
Be well do well
