Sel aastal toimub järjekordne World Solar Challenge

Mulle meeldivad võistlused millel on lihtsad tingimused - ei nõuta Arhitekt XXX olemasolu ega midagi :))

The challenge is a simple concept: build a solar car that can travel from Darwin to Adelaide in the shortest possible time. There are three main restrictions:
1) Vehicle propulsion may only be derived from direct solar radiation.
2)Vehicles must fit within a box of dimensions 5 m length * 1.8 m width * 1.6 m height. (Current regulations stipulate that Solar arrays can have an area of no more than 6 m2 )
3) The event is conducted between the hours of 8.00 am and 5.00 pm daily. With teams making camp in the desert wherever they finish their day.

Vaadates varasemaid Solar Challenge võistlustulemusi jäi silma keskmine kiirus 2005 aastal - 102,8 km/h .... Pole paha!
