Sustainable Tourism Policy
1) Providing organic gardens and a polytunnels, which supply some of the fruit and vegetables for the courses;
2) Promoting nature conservation and biodiversity:
- Providing land for tree planting (in the past 4 years, they have planted in excess of 5000 trees on the farm, mostly native species);
3) Implementing waste management practices:
- Composting all their organic waste and recycling as much as possible;
4) Using energy efficient equipment:
- Solar panels for heating the water;
- Wood burning stoves for space heating;
- Plenty of natural light;
5) Advising the participants to an ecological footprint awareness:
- Be sparing with the use of electricity;
- Conserve water;
- Participate in the celebration of delicious, fresh food by not bringing a stash of junk food.
