Ian Woofenden, Renewable Energy Author, Speaker, & Consultant
Hi Brendan,
All energy systems have capital costs and maintenance costs. Non-renewables also have fuel costs. Wind turbines will always have ongoing maintenance costs. Small (home-scale) turbines will generally have a relatively low financia...l return, depending on their size and the wind resource. If you want to profit from wind energy, I'd suggest looking at community-scale and utility-scale.

As you say:"Small (home-scale) turbines will generally have a relatively low financial return"
It is mean that investments which you made are payd off.Only after payoff time beggining profit,I am right?
So,could you say for entire world that, please:
"Windmills after payoff time gives electricity free of charge and profit."
Sorry my bad english.
Brendan.
