A PLANNING application is to be lodged for a second wind turbine at Courtown's Forest Park leisure centre.

A turbine is already in operation at the entrance to the centre, and the second turbine is proposed to be located to the rear of the building.

Planning is being sought for a 300 kw turbine and associated site works. The existing turbine has already proven a success, providing a quarter of the leisure centre's energy requirements.
