Roof Top Windsave in Scotland
October 27, 2006

Stewart C. Russell sent these photos of a Windsave installation in Scotland. The turbine is near his parents house and is installed on an expensive home. Note the sheltering effect from both the building and nearby trees. The good news is that this turbine should last a very long time because it won't produce much electricity in this location.

Some readers of this page may not recognize what's wrong with this installation. If you fall into that category, you need to go to the library and study proper installation of wind turbines--large and small--and how to best maximize wind generation.

To paraphrase Shakespeare in Richard III, "a tower, a tower, my kingdom for a proper tower."
